An artist residency is offered for one Finnish or Finland-based at Ureshino, Saga prefecture, Japan. The residency is organized by the Finnish Institute in Japan in collaboration with the Hizen Yoshida Porcelain Revitalization Project. The six-week residency takes place 1.9.-15.10.2025.
The meaning of the artist-in-residency program is to offer one artist an opportunity to work in an innovative and professional artist community working with ceramic art.
The residency program covers the artist’s travel and accommodation costs, material and shipping costs according to initial agreement, as well as workspace. The artist commits to hold an artist talk for the local community and a small exhibition will be organised based on the artist's work during the residency.
