  • Residency period: 1 September – 15 October (6 weeks)
  • Location: Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, Japan
  • In collaboration with: Hizen Yoshida Porcelain Revitalization Project

Covered Expenses

The Institute covers the artist’s travel, accommodation and workspace costs, as well as material costs according to a separate agreement.

Additional Information

An artist talk and a small exhibition will be organized based on the work during the residency.

Please note that the residency takes place during one of the hottest periods in Japan. Temperatures can rise close to 40°C with high humidity. The residency therefore requires a good ability to manage one’s own health and well-being in such conditions. The selected participant is recommended to arrange appropriate health and travel insurance for the duration of the stay.
