In 2023 the scientific projects will focus on the Institute's two research projects, but also on AI, sustainability, women's empowerment and aging. All projects strengthen scientific collaboration between Finland and Japan.

The Finnish Institute in Japan works extensively in different fields of culture. The Institute produces an innovative and inspirational cultural program and creates interaction between different cultural and artistic actors in Finland and Japan.

The Finnish Institute in Japan develops higher education co-operation between Finland and Japan and provides higher education related information at events and seminars.
