IMAGINE EVERYDAY! Outsider Art Finland

Experience Finnish Culture and lifestyle presented by Outsider Art Festival OAF!

Pertin Valinta (Pertti’s Choice), HERALBONY, and the Finnish Institute in Japan are co-hosting the exhibition “IMAGINE EVERYDAY! Outsider Art Finland”, featuring the artists from Pertin Valinta  (Pertti’s Choice) Outsider Art Agency. The exhibition showcases works by Kalevi Helvetti and Maima Tani and The Lost Archives Installation of the legendary punk band, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. These playful yet thought-provoking artworks present Finnish culture and lifestyle through the imaginary work and expressions of outsider artists. Beyond language, culture, and disability, Imagine Everyday! Outsider Art Finland is a celebration of creativity that shapes the future.

“We are so happy to collaborate with the amazing Heralbony team and meet local artists and audiences. I love Japan, and it has always been my dream to come to Japan one day. says Sami Helle, the founder member of PKN band and Pertin Valinta. “We want to show people that we’re not just pretty, we got brains too.”

This exhibition is curated inclusively with artists Kalevi Helvetti, Sami Helle, Maima Tani, Satu Tani, Antti Kuivalainen, Kanae Miyahara (Heralbony), Heini Merkkiniemi (OAF), and Teuvo Merkkiniemi (Pertin valinta).
