Tokyo Art & Science Research Residency is a month-long residency, organised by BioClub Tokyo, Bioart Society and the Finnish Institute in Japan.
The selected artist will be offered international and local travel, accommodation and other residency-related expenses, including equipment to be agreed upon, up to €4,000. During the residency, BioClub Tokyo's facilities will be at the artist's disposal and we will support research visits within the wider network.
Artists at different stages of their careers from Finland or living in Finland can apply for the residency. We encourage applications not only from artists working in biology and life sciences, but also from artists working in the broader fields of art and science.
Application form is available on the Bioart Society website. The submission is deadline Janunary 31, 23:59 (EEST). Those applying need to submit a research plan/motivation statement, portfolio and/or CV.
